Week of Algerian Handicraft in Poland

Tydzień Kultury Algierskiej w Polsce

We organized an exhibition of Algerian handicraft. First, we solved all the bureaucratic problems connected with goods importation from Algeria. Then, we rented space in Blue City shopping center. We co-operated with stalls company to make unique stalls for  this exhibition. Each stand was  devoted to different aspects of handicraft, for example: traditional clothes, pottery, every day’s ceramics, artistic ceramics,  silver jewelry, Berber jewelry, wool carpets, wickerwork and sweets. It means all stands were tailor-made for various products.

Next, we took care of accommodation and transfer of 15 Algerian manufacturers, and provided them with language support. We prepared an official opening ceremony cocktail party to the guests of the Algerian Embassy. This project was advertised in the media (social media e.g. Facebook and traditional media-newspapers). The highlight of this program was an Algerian folk band. The musicians wearing regional clothes played musical instruments and sang traditional songs and it was us who organized their performance.
